Wednesday October 2, 2013

I spent the night here at the hospital on the 17th floor.  Lenah has shown signs of improvement in her bowels.  She seems more comfortable and her belly swelling has gone down just a bit.  Her kidney function has improved. She is making more urine and it is lighter in color.  Her body temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygenation have remained stable.  If she continues to do well, she may be able to have the ventilator removed.  So she is still toughing it out and hanging in here.  My father will be picking me up from the hospital between 3 and 4.  I'm not sure if I will come back tonight or in the morning.  I need to go home and do some laundry and re-pack my travel bag.  I also need to spend some time with and hug my big kiddos.

Here is a picture from today.  I'm sorry if it's hard to look at, but it's how things are.  Please pray for Lenah.

  2. I know it is so hard to see your baby connected to all the machines. But take those pictures. I did even with some criticism from people not understanding. Alia wasn't as critical but if you need to vent or talk I am always here.
